Crank softboards are constructed to last. Many softboards use an EPS core, with XPE outer skin on the deck and HDPE slick bottom. The Crank difference is the double lay up of 6 ounce fibreglass that is wrapped around the core of the board. Our unique fibreglass lay up gives our softboards a nice stiff, firm feel, much closer to that of a normal fibre glass surfboard, as well as making them extremely durable for a softboard.

The dimensions of your board to your height, weight, fitness and experience is vitally important. Too big and you'll never turn it. Too small and you won't paddle it fast enough to get any waves. Things to consider when deciding on what size board is best for you also include how often you will be able to make it into the water. Obviously the more often you surf the better your 'surf' fitness will be. The board sizes and weights below are indicative only and represent an average.
